Welcome to the Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame. We are Queensland's first dedicated sports museum and at present honour over 30 Gold Coast Sporting Champions who have reached the highest possible level in their sport whilst a resident of the Gold Coast.
Located in a beautiful restored Queenslander at Owen Park in Southport, the Hall of Fame is operated on behalf of Gold Coast City Council and the Gold Coast community by a group of civic and sports minded persons to acknowledge, honour and promote Gold Coast sporting achievements by athletes, coaches and officials, at the elite level.
In addition to acknowledging the personalities themselves, the Hall also houses an outstanding collection of sporting memorabilia, much of it personally provided by the them, and is the home of Queensland’s only official “ Olympic Room”, dedicated specifically to Gold Coast excellence at the Olympic level.
The Hall is also home to an impressive library with an array of books on most subjects of a sporting nature.
Also contained within the Hall grounds is the Gold Coast Bulletin historical building which contains numerous examples of yesterday’s printing technology, wonderful photos and early editions of the Gold Coast’s favourite newspaper.
The Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame is well worth a visit.
