Community Jobs Program Graduation
The Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame played host to the Community Jobs Program Graduation ceremony on Tuesday 20th June 2006.
The graduates took part in a working scheme which taught the program participants construction, landscaping and teamwork skills over a 16-week period.
The Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame benefited from their newfound skills by receiving a new paintjob, construction improvements and an image revamp.
Member for Broadwater, Peta-Kaye Croft, presented the graduates with job portfolios that will give them a step up into a permanent place in the workforce.
The Community Jobs Program offers disadvantaged youths the opportunity to gain job ready experience in a trade, update their resumes and job interview skills and work in a team environment.
The Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame congratulates and thanks the graduates.
